Emergency Rehearsal

2022-2024

immersive performance

Series of recorded immersive performance sessions dedicated to grasping the reality of war with the means at our disposal: various experiences of emotional emergency. As an attempt to invent frameworks that would pass under the framing barriers of mass media coverage, and in an urge to share the new emotional states I’d undergone at the outbreak of the Russian invasion, I created a physical space to enable the possibility of a common ground between those feeling the war on their skin and those only fearing it in their nightmares. When others joined me in the basement, the shared space was then developed together as a mixture of memories, fears, hopes and dreams. Produced in Brussels and Berlin in 2022 and 2023 in collaboration with Q-O2, ACSR, Le Grand Hospice, CTM Festival, Deutchlandradio.
